Deepest condolences to his Excellency E B Koroma

Late Mrs Koroma The Disabled International Foundation Sierra Leone sends their deepest condolences to his Excellency Ernest Bai Koroma and his family.

I was truly heartbroken and shocked when the news was broken to me. Mrs Alice Roseline Koroma was not only the mother of our beloved president but she was the mother of Sierra Leone.

I am honoured to have met such a wonderful woman in my life. I first met with her a few months back in Makeni when i did  the launching of my organisation and I must say she was without a doubt the most encouraging woman I have come across. She showered me with wise words of advice and blessings and for that I am truly grateful.

Although I spoke to her on the telephone on numerous occasions when I returned to England, I am saddened by the fact that I will not get the chance to meet her again.

She would always, without fail, end our telephone conversations with 'God bless you my daughter' and for that she will always be in my heart. I would like to pass on a few words of encouragement to his Excellency just as his mother did to me. Although this is a very sad time for us all, she is in God’s hands now and in all of our hearts and prayers. We should celebrate her life and the good memories that she has left with us all.

Lastly, I would like to reassure the president that he is not alone. My self and people all across the world are with you and your family during this time of grief.

May your soul rest in peace, Mrs Alice Roseline Koroma.  WE LOVE YOU.
